I spent a week in glorious Amritsar with my old travelling companions Julian Barrow and Richard Foster. We witnessed the border display where Indian and Pakistan soldiers strutted like peacocks at the lowering of the flag. We stayed in Mrs Bandaris guesthouse which was interesting.
