I spent some days in Venice in the spring in a friend’s apartment. Whatever time of year Venice is a delight. I think it is the most atmospheric of all cities being in the lagoon. One of my pictures was painted on a wet day when everything was misty and then the next the sun shone and puffy clouds scattered across an otherwise clear sky.
